On 5 July 2023, an air of anticipation filled the air as the doors swung open to unveil the remarkable Epiroc Service Centre, in Kathu, Northern Cape.
With every detail thoughtfully designed, the center echoed Epiroc’s dedication to excellence and innovation. Wayne Sterley, Epiroc Regional GM, Southern Africa, shared his excitement. “The Northern Cape is more than just a location; it’s a hub of potential. And this center is our way of unlocking that potential, of being closer to our customers and adding real value to their operations.”
A dedicated Battery Equipment Service area, a Spray Booth, a Parts Storing and Hose Manufacturing facility — each nook was a testimony to Epiroc’s holistic approach. “This center is a beacon,” Wayne shared. “Epiroc’s investment in the service centre is a clear commitment to the Southern Africa market, this paired with acquisitions like AARD Mining and Mernok, illustrate our commitment to extend and build on our local content offering.”
